Grey's investigations in Neo-Tokyo

On another sunny day in Neo-Tokyo's dome, Grey, a Caucasian man in a brown military jacket, is seen questioning citizens in a thick accent. All of his questions regarding the strange incident that had occurred the day before, regarding a strange rat-ape chimera. The investigation leads Grey straight to a manhole, which, after glancing around to make sure he isn't being followed, climbs into. As he descends into the sewers, he turns on his flashlight, and pulls out his gun. "Let's see if I can't find a little more information on these local freaks..." he mutters as he proceeds into the labyrinthine sewer.

Grey finds himself immersed in pitch black darkness. As he enters the labyrinthine tunnels he hears the sounds of skittering and clattering on the stone floor of the sewer tunnels. The inky blackness is momentarily broken up by patches of bioluminescent moss while small mysterious reflective objects drift through the nearby stream of sewage. As he goes deeper into the sewers he is barraged by numerous indescribable odors and his senses become obfuscated by the complete lack of light. The deeper he goes the more the walls seem to blend into one another and the tunnels all begin to look the same.

As Grey glances around the walls, he turns off his flashlight. He then begins to glance around the walls, taking photo's of each wall as he continues down, and always searching for signs of inhabitants.

There don't appear to any signs of living beings aside from rats and unusually large cockroaches until Grey spots a gleaming crimson eye peer out from the stream of sewage water. A hideously mangled crocodile bursts out from the water. One of its eyes has been clawed out and the scars nearly wrap around its snout. The vicious reptilian bears its dingy yellowed fangs with intense malice and aims to bite into Grey's left leg.

As the mangled crocodile bursts out of the water attempting to bite Grey's leg, he attempts to use his steel-toed boot as a wedge, and then to pull his foot out of the boot.

As the croc's mangled fangs bite into the steel-toed boot its eyes flare up in anger and it begins to bite down tighter. The tip of the boot begins to noticeably bend and get dented under the pressure while the back is torn up a bit. Despite his attempts to free himself, the increased pressure prevents him from doing so and the ferocious beast begins thrashing about with his boot stuck in its mouth.

Grey responds by attempting to lift the whole crocodile with inhuman strength on the one foot, resting his hand against the wall for balance. Should he get the crocodile into the air, he slams it against the wall hard enough to crack it.

The wall cracks and numerous stone chunks crumble out of it. The crocodile sluggishly crawls back into the water and swims away from Grey. Suddenly he hears faint footsteps down the tunnel.

Grey takes a deep breath, and holsters his weapon. "Whoever's there, I'm not here for a fight. But that doesn't I won't defend myself. If you don't want a fight, show yourselves," Grey yells into the cavern.

Several humans in robes step out of the darkness. Some have faint outlines of tentacles drooping out of their hoods while others possess ominous glowing eyes of various colors. One of the hooded figures steps forward. Unlike the other his garment is green and he bears a toolbelt with numerous technical equipment. "I am Zyosuke. Who are you surface-dweller?" he echoes.

Grey looks the strange robed figures up and down, taking pictures of them as he does with his built-in cameras. "My name is Grey. An outcast, like you."

"Outcast? We are not outcasts. We have chosen to live here peacefully, isolated from the world above." The robed figure replies. "Human, we have long struggled on the blighted surface yet here we are safe from persecution and radiation. While we are wary of your kind you will be allowed within these tunnels for as long as you please. Return to the surface when you have finished your business and we will let you go in peace." The hooded mutant solemnly states. The glowing eyes peering from its shadowy mantle blink rapidly and the figure tilts its head ever so slightly.
